Summer Missions

At Redemption Church, we spend a lot of time every summer building relationships with our neighbors, sharing the gospel, mentoring youth, tutoring kids, and serving our community. We welcome church groups who want to come spend a day or a week helping us do this work through Bible clubs, block parties, and service projects. Individuals between the ages of 17 and 25 can also apply to be Summer Mission Interns. To learn more about mission trips and internships, contact Jared Stevenson. You get answers to FAQs about the internship by reading below.

This is an opportunity to gain real-world experience sharing the gospel, making disciples, and serving the vulnerable by spending the summer working with the pastors and ministry staff of a multi-ethnic urban church.

We are looking for young adults (minimum of 17-years-old) who love Jesus and are teachable, hard-working, team-oriented, and excited about participating in God’s work to bring hope and healing to south OKC.

Interns will be serving at Redemption Church in south OKC and in many apartment complexes and neighborhoods throughout the area. Over the course of the summer, interns will also travel with the Redemption Church staff for one or two ministry trips.

We have the opportunity to provide housing and a $500-per-month stipend for a limited number of interns. If we receive applications from more qualified candidates than we can fund, there will be an option for an unpaid internship for those who are able to raise funds for their own expenses.

No. In order to achieve our ministry goals and maximize the learning opportunities for interns, we need you to be fully committed to this work.

There are at least three great reasons to apply:

  1. The internship is a fantastic opportunity to share the gospel and make a deep, positive impact in the lives of wonderful people in a diverse urban community.
  2. The internship is a great time to learn, grow, and receive training from mature ministry leaders. Interns will have ample access to the church’s leadership and receive spiritual encouragement, biblical teaching, cross-cultural ministry experience, and on-the-job training.
  3. The internship provides a chance to build deep relationships that can be a blessing for years to come.
